Prior to starting RMA, Richard D. Moorhead was an integral part of the field sales management team of Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company, for over thirty-one years. In addition to field sales management positions in the southern and mid-western parts of the U.S., Richard was instrumental in developing and implementing strategic marketing programs in the very competitive healthcare industry.

In recognition of his management capabilities, Richard's responsibility was increased to include international marketing with direct accountability for operations in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Aruba, Curacao and other parts of the Caribbean. Richard's leadership in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans motivated his sales teams to consistently win the highest sales achievement honors since 1974.

Richard earned his BS degree from Valdosta State University, Valdosta, GA and his MA Marketing and MBA degrees from Webster University, St. Louis, MO. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the University of Phoenix and has facilitated many workshops on sales, marketing and management principles, and the recruiting, selection and hiring of sales representatives during his career with Johnson & Johnson. He has selected and hired over 180 successful sales representatives for the Johnson & Johnson family of companies.

He is currently a Managing Partner of Resource Management International, Inc., a sales and sales management consulting firm and is President/CEO of Richard Moorhead & Associates, LLC, a sales recruiting firm specializing in the placement of sales, sales management and marketing professionals exclusively for the medical/surgical industry. Richard also serves his church as a member of the Board of Directors of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oviedo, Florida. He also serves as an Usher, Elder and is Chairman of the Board of the St. Luke’s Lutheran School. Richard was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Florida Historical Society.

Richard is an avid golfer and co-authored "Golf in Florida 1886-1950".
